WHAT BAPTISTS BELIEVE
21. MISSIONS
We believe that it is the obligation and duty of every
saved person and every church to witness by life, word and financial support to the
truths of this Declaration, "The Gospel Must Be Proclaimed to All The World". (Acts 1:8,1I Cor
5:19-20; Jn 20:21, Mk 16:15; Matt 28:19,20; Acts 13:1-13).
EVANGELISM AND MISSIONS
It is the duty of every Christian man and woman, and
the duty of every church to seek to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth.
The new birth of man's spirit by God's Holy Spirit means the birth of love for
others. Missionary effort on the part of all rests upon a spiritual necessity
of regenerated life. It is also expressly and repeatedly commanded in the
teachings of Christ. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to
win the lost to Christ by personal effort and by all other methods
sanctioned
by the gospel of Christ. (Matt 10:5-15 ; Matt 13:1-23 ; Matt 22:8-10 ; Matt
18:19-20; Mk 16:15-20 ; Lc 24:46-53 ; Acts 1:4-8;
2:1-4,21,39; 8:1-40; 13:13,30-33; II Cor 5:19-21).

A-Missions
is the act of sending or being sent by an authority to instruct and preach the
gospel

person is saved, he becomes a witness to the power of Christ to change a life
